Listing Ad Policy

Effective Date: November 2, 2026

This Listing Ad Policy sets out the rules that all vendors on sell.biz.pk ("sell.biz.pk", "we", "us" or "our") must follow when creating product listings, store pages, banners and other promotions. By listing or advertising on sell.biz.pk, you agree to follow this policy.

This policy is part of our Terms & Conditions. Please read them for more information about your rights and responsibilities when using sell.biz.pk.

1. General Guidelines

  • Accuracy and truthfulness: every listing and promotion must be accurate, truthful and not misleading, with complete information about the product.
  • Lawful purpose: you may only list products that are legal to sell in Pakistan and legal to deliver to the cities you sell in. It is your responsibility to check this.
  • Respectful content: listings must not contain offensive, discriminatory, harmful or sexually suggestive content.
  • Compliance with our policies: you must follow this policy, our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
  • Fair and ethical conduct: all selling and advertising must be done in good faith and meet legal and ethical requirements.
  • Account details: your store name, contact details and business details must be accurate and your own.

2. Product Listing Standards

  • Title and description: describe the actual product, including its brand, model, condition and any important limits. Do not add unrelated brands or keywords to appear in more searches.
  • Category: list each product in the correct category, within the selling categories approved for your store.
  • Photos and videos: use real images of the product you are selling. Do not use images you have no right to use, or images that misrepresent the product.
  • Price and discounts: show the real price in PKR. Do not raise a price just to show a bigger discount, and do not advertise a discount, coupon or cashback you will not honour.
  • Variants and stock: colour, size, storage and other variants must be listed correctly with accurate prices and stock. Each unit’s serial number or barcode, where you add one, must be genuine.
  • Delivery and returns: delivery charges, delivery cities and whether a product has a 14-day return policy must be correct on the listing.
  • SEO fields: meta titles, descriptions, keywords and image text must describe the product honestly.
  • Bulk uploads: products added through CSV upload must meet every rule in this policy.

3. Store Pages, Banners and Promotions

  • Store pages built with Store Designer, banners and promotion applications must follow this policy, and must only link to your own store and products.
  • Do not put phone numbers, payment details or outside links in listings or store pages to move sales off the marketplace.
  • Do not copy the design, name or branding of another store or brand, or suggest that sell.biz.pk endorses your store.
  • Promotion and banner applications are reviewed by our team. We may reject them or remove them, even after they are approved, if they break this policy.
  • Platform campaigns have their own conditions. We may reject a store or product from a campaign.
  • Referral and cashback offers must be described accurately and honoured for orders placed during the offer.

4. Prohibited Items and Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on sell.biz.pk. Our Restricted Items Policy has the full list:

A. Illegal items

  • Drugs and drug paraphernalia: illegal narcotics, controlled substances, and equipment used to make or consume them.
  • Alcohol and intoxicating substances.
  • Weapons: firearms, ammunition, replicas and parts, knives sold as weapons, brass knuckles, tasers, stun guns, and any other item designed or intended to be used as a weapon.
  • Stolen goods: any item obtained illegally or without the owner’s consent, including phones with a changed or blocked IMEI.
  • Counterfeit currency and fake documents: fake money, financial instruments, identity documents, certificates or licences.
  • Illegal services: any illegal service, including prostitution and human trafficking.
  • Pirated content: illegal copies of software, games, movies, music, books or other copyrighted material.
  • Illegal medicines and prescriptions: prescription-only medicines, and medicines or medical products sold without the legally required approval.
  • Smuggled goods, and items on which legally required duties have been avoided.

B. Dangerous items

  • Explosives: fireworks, gunpowder and any other explosive device.
  • Flammable materials: petrol, gas cylinders and other highly flammable substances.
  • Hazardous chemicals: toxic chemicals, banned pesticides and other hazardous materials.
  • Radioactive materials.
  • Recalled or unsafe products, including products that do not meet legally required safety standards.

C. Offensive or discriminatory material

  • Hate speech: content promoting hatred, discrimination or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability or any other protected characteristic.
  • Content that insults any religion or religious belief, or that is unlawful under the laws of Pakistan.
  • Pornography and sexually explicit material, and anything that exploits, abuses or endangers children.
  • Content that promotes or glorifies violence or terrorism.
  • Defamatory content: false statements that harm the reputation of a person or business.

D. Misleading or fraudulent listings

  • Bait and switch: advertising a product at a low price to attract buyers, and then offering a different or more expensive one.
  • False claims about a product’s features, quality, condition, origin, warranty or approval.
  • Selling used, refurbished or open-box products as new.
  • Fake reviews, fake orders, or any attempt to manipulate ratings, sales rankings or search results.
  • Pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick offers and other fraudulent investment opportunities.
  • Non-product listings, such as adverts for another website, or listings with no real item for sale.

E. Items violating intellectual property rights

  • Counterfeit goods: fake branded products, or products that infringe trademarks or copyrights.
  • Unauthorized copies of copyrighted software, music, movies or other content.
  • Using a brand’s name, logo or images in a way that suggests a connection you do not have.

F. Other prohibited items

  • Personal data, customer lists, accounts, passwords, and hacking or surveillance tools.
  • Live animals and endangered species, and products made from them.

5. Category Requirements

  • Mobiles and tablets: state clearly whether the device is PTA-approved, its condition, its storage and any warranty. The IMEI must be genuine.
  • Electronics and home appliances: state the correct model and specifications, whether the product is new or used, and who provides any warranty.
  • Computers and accessories: state the correct specifications, and do not sell unlicensed software with the product.
  • Fashion and beauty: do not sell imitation branded goods. Cosmetics must be safe, within their expiry date, and correctly labelled.
  • Furniture and home: state the correct dimensions and materials, and whether assembly or delivery is included.
  • Kids products: products must be safe for the stated age, and any safety warnings must be shown.
  • Vehicles: state the correct make, model, year, mileage and condition. You must have the legal right to sell the vehicle.
  • Property: describe the property accurately and disclose known defects and material facts. You must own the property or be authorized to advertise it.

6. Items Requiring Prior Approval

Contact us and get written approval before listing the following. You must be able to show any licence or approval the law requires:

  • Medical devices, health supplements and other health-related products.
  • Tobacco and vaping products, which must only be sold to adults and as the law allows.
  • Pesticides and agricultural chemicals allowed by law.
  • Financial, insurance and investment products or services.

7. Vendor Responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for your listings and promotions, and for making sure they comply with this policy.
  • You must have the legal right to sell the products you list.
  • You must keep your contact details accurate so that customers and our team can reach you.
  • You must respond promptly to customer questions in chat, and to orders and return requests.
  • You must handle all sales in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Anyone you add as a worker must follow this policy, and you are responsible for what they do.

8. Enforcement

  • We may remove or suspend any listing or promotion that breaks this policy, our Terms & Conditions or the law.
  • We may warn a vendor, and suspend or close the store of a vendor who breaks our policies seriously or repeatedly.
  • Promotion fees and subscription fees already paid are not refunded when content is removed for breaking this policy.
  • We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor listings and user activity. Illegal activity may be reported to the authorities.

9. Reporting Violations

If you believe a listing or store breaks this policy, please report it from your reports page or contact us using the details below. We review all reports and take appropriate action.

10. Disclaimer

This policy is not exhaustive. We may remove any listing we consider inappropriate or harmful to our community, even if it is not specifically covered here. Vendors are responsible for their own listings, and sell.biz.pk does not guarantee that every listing complies with this policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the Effective Date. If you continue to use our Services after a change, you accept the updated policy.
